Talia participated in NYPD's Team Up Tuesday Initiative, a collaboration with the NYCDOE to build better relationships among police officers and NYC public school students. She facilitated workshops introducing theater to NYPD officers and students at Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and Technology.

Talia directed the first ever One Act Play Festival at Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and Technology.

Talia is currently completing her second year in the Arthur Miller Theater Education Program Fellowship. As part of the fellowship she has worked with Epic Theatre Ensemble, home of Nilaja Sun's "No Child." Through the fellowship, she also had the opportunity to take her students to see "Finding Neverland" and "A Bronx Tale" on Broadway. The film Nothing Happened won and award for the Best Narrative Short at the 2017 Trenton Film Festival. Past awards include the Grand Prize in the March on Washington Film Festival, and premiered at the White House. Talia plays the role of undercover cop, Officer Alcantara, in the film. Talia attended the World Premiere of the film The Last Straw. Talia plays the role of Ms. Otero.
